Personal Assistant & Content Intern

We are hiring a Personal Assistant & Content Intern. This is an LGBTQ+ friendly workplace, and we strongly welcome applications from queer, trans, and BIPOC candidates.

The Role

This is a Content Producer + Social Media Manager + Personal Assistant hybrid. You'll work directly Leyna and her management team to build her audience across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube over the next several months.

You will:

• Shoot and capture content with the principal one day per week (Reels, TikToks, photo carousels, YouTube long-form)
• Edit short-form video in CapCut or Premiere — turn one shoot into a week's worth of content
• Write captions, hashtags, and geotags in the principal's voice
• Schedule posts across IG, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube using Later or Metricool
• Pull weekly analytics and surface what's working
• Handle the daily comment/DM reply window — protecting the principal's time while keeping the audience engaged
• Storyboard the next Capture Day
• Occasionally cover events on weekends (paid extra when this happens) — public appearances, panels, and other on-location work

Schedule: 3 days per week

• Day 1 — Capture Day (on-location)
• Day 2 — Edit + Schedule
• Day 3 — Long-form content + planning
• Weekends off unless an event is on the calendar. You'll have a real schedule and real boundaries — but expect things to move fast.

Who We're Looking For

You don't need years of experience. You need taste, hustle, and a working understanding of how social media actually moves in 2026.

You're a strong fit if:

• You're a current college student or recent grad (within 1 year)
• You have cultural literacy across queer, ballroom, fashion, and creative communities of color — this isn't a checkbox, it's the work
• You can name three trending audios from this week without thinking
• You've either grown a personal account to 10K+ followers, or worked on a brand/creator account that grew measurably
• You can shoot Reels-quality video on an iPhone (mirrorless camera is a plus, not required)
• You're comfortable in CapCut, Premiere, or similar
• You have reliable transportation in San Diego (we shoot on location)
• You can write — captions, especially. Voice matters.
• You're available for occasional domestic and international travel (travel covered)
• You can sign and honor an NDA — discretion is non-negotiable
• Bonus points
• You have a portfolio account, Substack, blog, or TikTok where we can see your taste
• You speak Spanish or Tagalog
• You've worked an event, fashion show, or shoot before

This role is structured to invest in you, not just to extract work.

Compensation

A monthly stipend (specific amount discussed during interview, calibrated to your experience and availability), plus travel stipends for any required trips and performance bonuses tied to channel growth goals. Paid as a 1099 contractor.

Audience-building exposure

This is the real value of the role, and we're upfront about it. As part of your compensation, the principal will cross-post and tag your personal creator account on her channels (600K+ on Instagram alone) at minimum twice per month. For an early-career creator, a single tag from an account this size can drive thousands of new followers. We're not promising a specific number — but we are promising the consistent visibility that lets your own platform grow alongside this role.
